Maduro met with the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, in Caracas on Friday in a meeting of which no details have been released.

Ortega was one of eight rulers who did not attend the Ibero-American summit. On his behalf, Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada arrived in Santo Domingo on Saturday. The Associated Press asked officials at the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to confirm whether Moncada was present at the event Boric spoke, but they indicated they had no information.
