Director Oh decided to continue close cooperation (R2R) between the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and regulatory agencies on overall regulations by visiting regulatory agencies (FDA), research institutes (NCI), and regulatory science junior colleges (Regulatory Science Innovation Center).
They met with Dr. Robert M. Califf, head of the US FDA, to derive common interests from both countries, such as digital and AI-based innovative products and drug supply and demand management in times of crisis, and agreed to continue discussing ways to cooperate in the future.
With the National Cancer Institute (NCI), it was decided to promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the field of research to support commercialization and strengthen regulatory expertise, and to hold a joint symposium with NCI regulatory expert advisory, etc., to continue discussions on future cooperation plans.
