A young woman who is now 30 has embarked on a sort of crusade through the networks that has generated comments of all kinds; Eight months pregnant, she is looking for the father of her child.
Sarah-Jayne Snow, 30, had a one-night stand with a 19-year-old boy whose name she can’t remember. The only thing he knew was that she had told him that she worked at the Braehead Shopping Center in Glasgow (Scotland).
On TikTok, the Briton posted a video making the fact known and among other things he told the young man that he will become a father in a few days.
“It was a consensual thing between two drunk adults. I didn’t ask for his number on purpose and he didn’t ask for mine. It was a mutual goodbye,” Sarah said, according to The Sun. “But when I found out I was pregnant I knew I had to try and find him.”
“I can take care of my son on my own, but I don’t want him to feel like he doesn’t know who his father is.”He added. “All I want is for his dad and his family to know that if they want to participate, they can.”
According to The Sun, the woman was at a resort in the tourist area of Playa de las Américas when the young man approached her.
He offered to drive her home, and although he refused to go any further because she was 29 and he was 19, She ended up accepting the proposition and took a picture of the boy to be safe.
“I took the picture to say I’m safe and will be home soon. It was just a one night stand. He kept saying 19 was too young when I was 29, but he kept insisting,” she recalled.
“I really know that I was much more drunk than him. The only reason we slept together was because she stopped me on the street and asked me to go with him.”
Sarah, who works as a babysitter, said she had been hungover for days, so she never took the morning-after pill.
Then, she was horrified to learn that she was pregnant. After thinking about it for a long time, she decided to go ahead and become a mother for the first time.
“I was shocked and scared. But something in my heart told me I should keep the baby,” she said. “I don’t know the dad, but I definitely feel ready to be a mom.”
Finally, the expectant mother assures that she is not trying to get money from the young man, since the only thing she seeks is to give him the opportunity to participate in the child’s upbringing. She even thinks about the possibility of her being present during the birth of the baby.
“Obviously, being a single mom is scary, but I’ll get through it. I have a nice house and I don’t need anything from the father of the child,” she confessed. “But it’s not about me anymore. I also have to think about my son and his needs.”
Sarah said she sees no chance of her and the boyfriend becoming a couple, but she’s eager to track him down and at least let him know what’s going on.
“I have a very small family and I don’t want my son to lose the love of both sides. It’s what he deserves,” he added. “Letting someone know they’re going to be a dad is the right thing to do.”
