The search for a two-year-old boy reported missing ended in the worst possible way: he was found on the night of Friday the 31st. in the mouth of an alligator in Florida, United States.

Officers fired one shot at the alligator, killing it and forcing it to drop the boy’s body. “We’re sorry it ended like this,” said Police Chief Anthony Holloway.
Police recovered Taylen’s body, although they said it was still unclear how the boy died or if he was already dead before he ended up in the lake.

Jeffery’s family was concerned after not hearing from him on Thursday after last seeing her and her son Taylen around 5:30pm Wednesday.
Some neighbors were found to have heard arguing around 8:30pm on Wednesday, but no one called the authorities.
The family contacted the administration and maintenance of the residential complex to check on it.
