Worms on the beach

Earlier this month, a dog walker was shocked after finding it a rubbery bunch of strange worm-like creatures on an Anglesey beach.

While you don’t see it every day in the area, the little white dots inside the capsules are thought to be squid roe.

Squid eggs are normally anchored to the seabed and must have broken off to reach the beach, experts say.
