The Mexican musician and performer Julián Figueroa, son of the famous actress Maribel Guardia and singer Joan Sebastian, died on Sunday afternoon. The news has shocked the local media and there is still unease among the public.

“Dear friends, I am sorry to have to announce the departure of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who unfortunately preceded us on this plane. They found him unconscious in his room tonight while I was at the theater. They called 911 and when the ambulance and police arrived they found him dead, with no trace of violence. The medical report indicates that he died of acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation,” the actress explained.
The woman then thanked for the messages of support received after her tragic loss: “I ask for understanding for the deep pain we are going through, I would like to talk to all the people who are trying to communicate, but I really don’t have the strength to do it yet I ask everyone to respect our privacy and the painful time we have been going through.”
After the announcement, speculation about the cause of death was not long in coming.
According to the official death certificate document, Figueroa died of acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.
Despite speculation about Julián’s sudden death, the document confirms that the artist was found lifeless Sunday night in a house in Álvaro Obregón’s mayor’s office, according to the Mexico City attorney general’s office.
