ABC News reported on the 13th (local time) that ‘Harry Potter’ will be produced as a TV series based on the original story.
According to reports, the ‘Harry Potter’ TV series will be produced with a total of 7 seasons and will be released over 10 years. It will premiere in 2025-2026, and new cast members will play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and more.
This news came with the announcement on the 12th that Warner Bros. Discovery will integrate HBO Max and Discovery + into one streaming platform, ‘Max’.
“Each season is faithful to the original, bringing the incredible adventures of Harry Potter to new audiences around the world,” Max said in a press release.
JK Rowling, who is in charge of the project’s executive producer, said, “I will keep the integrity of the original work,” but “I am very excited to be able to participate in the new adaptation that will show the depth and detail that only a long-form TV series can provide.” Previously, Warner Bros. Discovery had offered JK Rowling a TV series production and executive producer.
