The case of a woman who allegedly breastfed a cat on an airplane broke out on the networks. The video made headlines in 2022 and has gone viral again in the last few hours

It all started when a passenger called the crew because his seatmate was, according to him, breastfeeding a cat.

In the video we see how an on-board purser appears who asks the woman if what the passenger said is true. He doesn’t say yes or no, though he constantly refers to what he carries wrapped up in a blanket as “baby.”

“She’s nursing a cat! He is disgusting,” exclaims the complainant, to which she replies that what she is doing is “allowed” on flights.

“If it’s a child, I wouldn’t say anything. He’s fine, but he’s a cat”, the man tries to make the crew member understand who, among other things, doesn’t know very well how to handle the situation.

The scream goes, the scream comes, the steward on board asks the woman to remove the blanket from the alleged cat. She does not want.

Fed up with the situation, the crew member tells him he’ll take the blanket off. The young woman replies that, if she did, she would be violating her privacy.

Here is the first twist..

What the passenger is wrapped up in is something very similar to a real cat.

Noticing the cat’s fur, the passenger who had denounced the woman exclaims triumphantly: “It’s a cat!” In the meantime, she continues without affirming or denying it.

Overwhelmed, the girl leaps out of her chair and begins to explain that what she’s actually carrying in her arms is an “emergency services emotional support animal.”

The second twist of the story – and perhaps the most disturbing – occurs when the cameraman manages to capture the cat’s face.

A close-up of the hypothetical animal reveals exorbitantly wide-open, plastic-like eyes. This proves that the woman was carrying a stuffed animal or cat with her to reassure her during the flight.

The video, which is now viral with more than 9 million views on Twitter, became known in December last year.

Now yes, a real case

Also in December 2021, an accident occurred on a Delta Airlines flight when a woman has started breastfeeding her cat in flight and refused to stop after being discovered by support personnel.

The incident allegedly occurred during a trip aboard Delta Flight 1360, a route that travels between Syracuse, New York, and Atlanta, Georgia.

An image posted on social media suggests the alleged breastfeeding occurred as the plane was headed for Atlanta, though it’s unclear exactly when the crash occurred, Newsweek reports.

The image that has been circulating is a screenshot of a screen where the alleged event can be read. That message was sent using the Aeronautical communications addressing and signaling system (ACARS), which pilots use to transmit short text messages to ground personnel.

The message states that a passenger in seat 13A “is nursing a cat and will not return it to the carrier” in response to a request from a flight attendant. The message requests that the airline’s “Red Coat” team address the situation upon landing.

Delta describes team members as “elite airport customer service experts” who are “specially trained to handle customer issues during layovers,” the Newsweek article said.
