A shipment of two tons of cocaine it was discovered by the Italian Guardia di Finanza, off the coast of Sicily. The kidnapping, among the largest in the history of the country, is worth $438 million.

“The identification and subsequent seizure of this quantity of drugs, one of the largest ever carried out in the national territory, prevented their recovery by criminals for subsequent illicit marketing in the national territory, which would have generated a very high incomeof the order of approximately more than 400 million euros”, the Guardia di Finanza celebrated in a statement.
