Jair Bolsonaro’s home raided, 6 ex-collaborators arrested in case of forging Covid vaccination certificates

The house of the former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro in Brasilia it was looted this morning by order of the Supreme Court of Brazil and six people were arrestedincluding one of his former military deputies, as part of an investigation into the violation of the Ministry of Health file to be issued fake coronavirus vaccination certificates.

According to a statement by the federal police, the investigation led by judge Alexandre de Moraes investigates a corruption and fraud network in the Ministry of Health to issue fake coronavirus vaccination certificates e allow anti-vaxxers to bring them to the United States.

Bolsonaro he was at home at the time of the operation, the media reported.

Police sources quoted by the GloboNews news network said they were investigating whether vaccination certificates were forged of former president Bolsonaro and his daughter Lauratoday with 12 years.

The O’Globo chain, meanwhile, reported that the cell phones of Bolsonaro and his wife Michelle were confiscated during the searches.

Bolsonaro’s looted home is located in a private neighborhood on Brasilia’s North Lake. He has been leased by the Liberal Party since he returned to the country in March after spending three months in the United States.

Among those arrested are ex aide-de-camp Mauro Cid and other members of Bolsonaro’s security team in the Presidency, which lasted from 2019 to 2022.

The measures are part of an investigation into an alleged “unlawful association set up to commit the crimes of entering false Covid-19 vaccination data into Ministry of Health systems,” police said.

The aim would be to keep the identity element consistent in relation to its ideological guidelines, in this case, to support the discourse directed at attacks on vaccination against Covid-19, according to the statement.

Bolsonaro has questioned the coronavirus vaccination and said he has not been vaccinated, as part of the far-right strategy being used against the pandemic.
