Coronation of King Carlos III: what day is the ceremony, where and how to see it live

The coronation of King Carlos III and Queen Camila will take place on Saturday 6 May in London. Steeped in tradition, yet slightly modernized, the multi-stage ceremony starts at 6 am Argentine timewith the couple’s departure from Buckingham Palace.

Regard the “king’s procession”a journey of about 2 km in the city center, from the Palace to Westminster Abbey.

The royal couple will travel in the modern carriage built for Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, designed by six Windsor Gray horses and escorted by members of the Royal Household Cavalry.

The coronation will take place at Westminster AbbeyR starting at 7 in the morning in Buenos Aires. And Carlos will be crowned an hour later, at noon in London.

The mass accompanying the coronation to be celebrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, It will end at 1pm locally, 9am in our country.

Some 2,000 people will be in attendance, ranging from foreign leaders and members of the royal family to elected officials and civil society representatives.

Where and how you can see

The coronation ceremony can be watched live on cable TV on major UK channels such as the BBC and SkyNews.

The major US networks, ABC, CNN, NBC, MSNBC and Fox, will also broadcast the ceremony live.

If you don’t have cable TV, can be seen online.

It will be streamed through various websites including Clarin.com.

The ceremony is largely the same for more than Millennium.

The king is first introduced to the faithful, who respond to the cry of “God save King Charles!” Trumpets are sounded after each recognition.

After the coronation, the already consecrated couple return to Buckingham Palace, in the golden carriage, in a grand parade called the “coronation procession”.

The carriage, first used in 1762, weighs four tons and will be pulled by eight Windsor Gray hairs.

They will be joined by other members of the royal family and some 4,000 soldiers in full uniform.

In the palace, the royal couple will appear on the balcony around 2:15 pm local time (10:15 am in Buenos Aires) to greet and testify an air parade.

Sunday: concert

They will be held across the UK on Sunday. neighborhood parties christened the “great coronation meal”.

At 8pm local time (4pm in Argentina), the grounds of Windsor Castle, west London, will host around 10,000 people for a concert with artists such as Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Take That and Andrea Bocelli.

On Monday it was declared a holiday and the royal family invited the British to volunteer that day.
