“The president has issued more than 20 executive orders because he takes this issue very seriously,” said Janfair. He is at a more historic level than any other president.”

“It speaks to how seriously the president takes gun violence,” he said. “Gun violence is spreading like an epidemic in our communities and schools. We have to make that a priority,” he added.

Democrats have pushed for tougher gun control legislation, but Republicans see most gun-related legislation as violations of the Second Amendment.

On the 6th, a gunman opened fire indiscriminately at Allen Premium Outlets in the suburbs of Texas, USA, killing eight people and wounding at least seven others. In this incident, a Korean couple in their 30s and their 3-year-old child were shot and killed while visiting a shopping mall over the weekend. The 5-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

In a statement on the 7th, President Biden said, “Once again, I will send Congress a bill to ban the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and end universal background checks, safe storage, and immunity for gun manufacturers.” If passed, it will be signed immediately. Keeping the distance safe is of the utmost importance.”

He also said, “American society has experienced about 200 mass shootings this year.
