Catsimatidis told the Daily Mail that her advice to people striving to develop their careers is Hire people smarter than you, train and stay out of trouble.

He also said he believes the work ethic is stuck or sidelined for many workers today.

“The harder you work, the easier it is to win,” she says. “Look at people who only work three days a week and I’ll show you the failures.”

Catsimatidis is one of many tycoons who have criticized the work ethic of the younger generation. Last year, Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey said it younger “It looks like they don’t want to work.” And more recently, Keith Rabois, a PayPal insider, accused some workers of doing “phony jobs.”

In 2022, a survey by the World Economic Forum revealed that nearly half of Gen Z workers would quit their jobs if it negatively affected their work-life balance.
