During a summit meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who visited Korea on the 17th to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties, President Yoon Seok-yeol decided to further strengthen the economic security cooperation system with Canada, which has the world’s largest energy resources, by establishing a core mineral supply chain. The two countries also agreed to conclude a new confidential information protection agreement that expands the scope of sharing existing military information to the defense industry. In addition, by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on youth exchange that completely revises the existing working holiday agreement, the annual quota will be tripled from 4,000 to 12,000 and the upper age limit will be raised from 30 to 35.
