According to Reuters, Bloomberg News, and Russian state media RIA, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on the 30th (local time) that “a UAV was attacked early this morning, causing minor damage to several houses.”

Regarding the attack, Mayor Sobyanin said, “One person was injured in this attack,” and “some buildings suffered minor damage, but so far no serious injuries have been reported.”

Moscow Governor Andrei Vorobyov also said via Telegram, “Residents must have heard an explosion this morning in some areas of Moscow.”

The attack on Moscow that day was recorded as the second attack on the capital city, following the attack on the Kremlin on the 3rd. It also happened just one day after Russia carried out drone and missile attacks on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and other areas over two days on the 28th and 29th.

However, Russia has not yet specifically mentioned who was behind the attack. It may have been the work of Ukrainian government forces, but some have raised the possibility that it was the work of the Russian militia hostile to the current Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime, or the Russian government’s own work.
