To this end, the two sides agreed to continue expanding high-level exchanges that have played a key role in the development of bilateral relations, while further strengthening cooperation in areas such as energy and resources, strengthening the supply chain for key minerals, nuclear power, health, education, digital, and the environment.
The two Ministers agreed to continue cooperation in establishing an institutional basis for promoting Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO as soon as possible and promoting trade and investment between Korea and Uzbekistan in order to expand trade and investment between the two countries. The two sides agreed to strengthen the supply chain of key minerals such as molybdenum and tungsten through cooperation between Uzbekistan, which is rich in energy and resources, and Korea, which has cutting-edge technologies such as ICT.

Minister Park explained that the Korean government is making efforts to attract the 2030 Busan World Expo, and requested Uzbekistan’s support so that the 2030 Busan World Expo can be held in Busan.
Immediately after the foreign ministers’ meeting, the two ministers signed the Korea-Uzbekistan Climate Change Cooperation Agreement, laying the groundwork for strengthening the bilateral climate change partnership by promoting greenhouse gas reduction projects.
Meanwhile, prior to the meeting, three minutes of discussion were signed related to KOICA’s strengthening of plant quarantine administrative capacity, support for digital legislation in the House of Representatives, and strengthening of smart urban greening capacity.
