According to the Associated Press on the 6th (local time), Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko announced through Telegram that a 10-year-old boy and his grandmother were killed in Kharkiv by a Russian missile attack.

Citing a local correspondent, the Associated Press reported that the attack occurred early in the morning and that the boy who died was wearing pajamas with a Spider-Man design.

Ukraine said Russia used two Iskander missiles in the attack.

It was previously discovered that Iskander missiles were used in the attack on Hroza, a small town in the northeastern city of Kupyansk.

The day before, Russia launched a missile attack on the Hroza cafe and general store where a memorial service for fallen soldiers was being held, and 52 people have been counted dead so far.

Hroja is a small village with a population of about 300, and most families lost at least one member. Among the dead was a 6-year-old child.

Ukraine strongly condemned Russia’s deliberate attack on civilian settlements, saying there were no military facilities in the town.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the European Political Community (EPC) forum held in Granada, southern Spain, and condemned the attack, saying, “This attack is clearly a cruel crime by Russia” and “a completely deliberate act of terrorism.”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied the attack, saying he was not responsible for the attack on Hroza. The Russian military also reiterated its claim that it does not target civilian facilities.

Meanwhile, the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, said in a statement regarding the Hroja attack that it was “deeply shocked and saddened,” and announced that it would dispatch an investigation team to the site.
