On the 10th, Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported this, citing the local Chinese merchants’ association in Israel.

A Chinese survivor claimed, “At the time, Hamas militants opened fire even after knowing that they were Chinese.”

Additionally, according to videos spreading on social media, a 25-year-old mixed Chinese-Israeli woman known as ‘Noah’ was reportedly kidnapped by Hamas militants while participating in a music festival held in an Israeli desert area.

However, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not confirmed any such casualties if it is investigating the safety situation of missing and injured Chinese nationals.

In response to a related question at a regular briefing on the 10th, Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed relevant embassies and consulates to do their best to find missing people and rescue the injured, and urged them to take effective measures externally to ensure the safety of Chinese people and institutions. “I did it,” he said.

“We understand that the Chinese injured person is currently receiving treatment in hospital and that the overall situation is stable,” Wang added.

Instead of condemning Hamas’ attacks, the Chinese government has expressed its stance urging restraint on both sides.

In a related statement, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “We express deep concern about the escalation of tensions and violence between both sides,” and “We appeal to the relevant parties to maintain coolness and restraint, establish an immediate ceasefire, protect civilians, and prevent the situation from worsening.” He said.

When the United States declared support for Israel, which was attacked by Hamas, state media, representing the Chinese government’s position, criticized it, saying it was “like pouring fuel on a burning house.”
