The father of an 8-year-old girl who died in an attack by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas was relieved and shed tears upon hearing the news that his daughter’s body had been found.
On the 12th, CNN interviewed Thomas Hand, a resident of Kibbutz Beeri near the Gaza border. In the early morning of the 7th, Hamas terrorists attacked Beeri and massacred at least 100 innocent residents.
Gunfire was fired at the kibbutz for about 12 hours that day, and Mr. Hand, who survived dramatically, had to spend two days anxiously without knowing whether his daughter Emily was alive or dead.
My daughter, who had never slept at someone else’s house, happened to stay overnight at a friend’s house the night before and then went missing. Unfortunately, Emily was eventually found dead.
Mr. Hand, who gave the interview with a trembling voice, said, “When I heard that ‘Emily was found, but she was dead,’ I just smiled and answered, ‘Yes.’ “Because it was the best news I had ever feared,” she said, shedding tears.
This is better news than hearing that your daughter was taken to the Gaza Strip and killed, or that she was tortured or subjected to other evil acts by unknown terrorists.
“If you knew what they (Hamas) are doing to people in Gaza, it would be worse than death,” Hand said. “I thought of my daughter being locked in a dark room with no water or food, suffering and being scared every minute of every hour.” “If you do that, death would be a blessing.”
Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, massacring Israeli civilians and taking hostages to the Gaza Strip. It was reported that there were 150 hostages, including women and children. Hamas threatened to kill the hostages when Israel counterattacked, and it is reported that some of them have already been killed.
