According to the China Times on the 15th (local time), Director Wang said this in a phone call with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan the previous day, pointing out that “Israel’s actions harming civilians go beyond the scope of self-defense.”

Director Wang emphasized, “We must listen to the calls of the international community and the UN Secretary-General to stop the collective punishment of the people of the Gaza Strip, and all parties must return to the negotiating table as soon as possible.”

“China is communicating intensively with all sides to promote a ceasefire and end to the war,” he said. “The top priority is to ensure the safety of civilians and respond to the basic needs of Gaza residents by opening humanitarian relief channels as quickly as possible.” .

He also said, “China believes that the historical injustice against Palestine has continued for more than half a century and cannot continue any longer.” He added, “All countries that love peace and justice must raise their voices and demand that the ‘two-state solution’ be implemented as soon as possible.” .

He added, “China supports the restoration of Palestinian legitimate national rights in cooperation with Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, and is willing to put the Palestinian issue on the right track of the ‘two-state solution’ and realize a comprehensive, fair, and permanent solution.” .

According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Farhan responded, “I am deeply concerned about the current situation between Israel and Palestine,” and “I condemn all attacks on civilians and oppose Israel’s forced relocation of Gaza residents out of the region.”

Minister Farhan also said, “At present, it is necessary to deliver humanitarian goods to the people of Gaza as quickly as possible,” and urged, “I hope that the international community will work together to prevent the conflict from expanding to other countries.”

In addition, he pointed out, “If the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council are not implemented and an independent Palestinian state is not established, the Palestinian issue cannot be resolved in a just and permanent manner.”

“We are willing to work with China to encourage all parties to comply with international humanitarian law, protect civilians, and implement relevant Security Council resolutions on the Palestinian issue,” he said.
