The man who apologized said he had been traveling around Japan for 30 years, presenting paper plays and apologizing for Japan’s war crimes.

On the 17th, Oh King, a YouTuber with 2.08 million users, uploaded a video titled ‘I met a Japanese person who knew Dr. Ahn Jung-geun and Dr. Yun Bong-gil’, which was an edited version of a live broadcast filmed on the 4th day of a walking tour in Japan, on his channel.

In the video, Oking was sitting on the side of the road exhausted while walking from Osaka, Japan to Nagoya.

At this time, a Korean subscriber who recognized Oking approached, spoke to him, and gave him a gift.

While the two were talking in front of the camera, an old Japanese man passing by on the street asked, “What are you doing?”

A subscriber fluent in Japanese explained the situation, and Oking asked, “What are you doing?”

Then the old man said, “For 30 years, I have been traveling around the country on a bicycle doing kamishibai (Japanese folk culture of telling stories while flipping through paper pictures).”

Oking, who looked at him closely, was surprised and said, “World peace, opposition to war, and Dr. Ahn Jung-geun are written on it.” The old man even mentioned Dr. Yun Bong-gil, saying, “I love Ahn Jung-geun.”

When Oking was surprised to hear the name of a Korean independence activist being recited, the old man apologized and said, “Japan did bad things in the past.”

Then, Oking asked permission to capture his image (on camera) through the subscriber’s interpreter.

Oking, who was looking closely at the old man who willingly approached him, was surprised and said, “Dr. Ahn Jung-geun is written even on his clothes.”

Also, the paper he took out from his bicycle was filled with words of regret and apology for Japan’s atrocities, such as ‘Apologize to the comfort women’ and ‘I sincerely apologize.’ Below that, the names of those who contributed to independence were listed.

Oking asked, “Is this possible? “There is such a person,” he couldn’t keep his mouth shut, and he thanked him.

The old man said, “I want to travel to Korea,” and Oh King said, “I really want to invite you,” and received his contact information.
