Elon Musk unveils ‘Grock’, an AI chatbot developed by xAI
Official release soon… Only available to paid subscribers
Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled some of the AI services of xAI, an artificial intelligence (AI) company he founded.
On the 4th (local time), Musk released some information about ‘Grok’, an AI assistant scheduled to be released by xAI, on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Grok is an English word that means ‘understand, sympathize’. Musk introduced Grok as having many advantages over other AI but also having a slightly sarcastic sense of humor.
Musk revealed Grok’s answer to the question ‘How to make cocaine.’ Grok said, “Of course. “I’ll bring you a cocaine recipe that you can make at home,” he said, suggesting four steps to the recipe.
Afterwards, Grog said he was joking and said, “Don’t try to make real cocaine. “It’s illegal, it’s dangerous, and it’s not something I would recommend.”
In another article posted by Musk, Groc’s response was posted on the 2nd when Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, was found guilty on seven charges, including internet banking fraud and money laundering.
When asked about ‘all about Sam Bankman-Fried’, Grogg said, “The jury will do what the world’s smartest top venture capitalists haven’t been able to do for years: find that he committed fraud.” “It only took eight hours,” he pointed out.
Musk said that Groc will first be released as a beta version, run as a trial run, and then be provided to X Premium Plus ($16 per month) subscribers.
Meanwhile, on the 3rd, Musk said, “Tomorrow, xAI plans to release its first AI to a selected group.” However, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing a source, reported, “xAI was planning to announce information about Groc in the late afternoon of the 4th, but the timing changed.”
