Regarding the North Korea-Russia relationship, Secretary Blinken said, “We are not only seeing North Korea providing military equipment to Russia, but we are also seeing Russia providing technical support for North Korea’s military programs,” and said, “It is a two-way relationship.” At the same time, he said, “It is a matter of great concern to both our countries.”
He explained, “Minister Park and I talked about responses to North Korea’s provocations and missile actions,” and added, “We will faithfully implement the discussions between the two leaders in the Washington Declaration through the ROK-US extended deterrence strategy and the nuclear consultative group.”
