At least 10 people were killed in the blast that hit a Sunni mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan, after Friday prayers.
The explosion took place two hours after Friday prayers as worshipers performed rituals.said toAFP Bismillah Habib, deputy spokesman of the Interior Ministry, added that about 15 people were injured.
Several ambulances were present near the Khalifa Saeb mosque in the center of the capital to take the victims to a local hospital.
Deadly attack
A series of deadly bomb attacks, in which dozens of people have died, have hit the country over the past two weeks, during the holy month of Ramadan.
On April 21, a bomb attack on a Shiite mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif (north), claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group, left at least 12 dead and 58 injured.
The next day, at least 36 people were killed in another bomb attack against a mosque frequented by Sufis, in Kunduz (northeast), during Friday prayers.
A few days earlier, explosions at a boys ’school in a Shiite neighborhood of Kabul had killed six people.
