Members of the Palestinian armed group Hamas attacked civilians in Jerusalem, Israel, on the 30th (local time), killing three people. The shooting occurred an hour after the agreement was reached to extend the ceasefire for another day.
According to the Israeli media Times of Israel, at around 7:50 a.m. on this day, two armed men opened fire on people at a bus stop outside Jerusalem.
If you look at the closed-circuit (CC) TV video of the situation at the time, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) stops in front of a bus stop, and men who get out of the driver’s seat and passenger seat suddenly run up and shoot people. Citizens, startled by the sudden situation, panic and run away.
Three people died and six were injured in this incident. The deceased were identified as Elimelech Wasserman (73), Hana Ifergan (67), and Livia Diekman (24).
The injured person is being treated at a nearby hospital. Some are reported to be in critical condition. The number of casualties was large as the incident occurred during rush hour.
