According to foreign media outlets such as AFP and Kieu Independent on this day, police authorities in Frankfurt, Germany announced that “President Zelenskyy has an appointment in the Lehain-Main area around Frankfurt, Germany.” However, he refused to provide a detailed explanation regarding President Zelenskyy’s schedule.

President Zelenskyy chose to visit the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command located in Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse, as his first stop on his visit to Germany. He arrived in Germany through Frankfurt Airport and immediately moved to Wiesbaden with the help of a convoy.

Afterwards, President Zelensky confirmed this on social media, saying, “Following my visit to Norway, I arrived at the U.S. Army Command in Europe, headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany.”

In recent days, he has visited Argentina, the United States, and Norway to call for support for Ukraine.

He continued, “I was once again convinced that the U.S. military support for Ukraine is very excellent,” and emphasized, “Support is desperately needed for victory.”

He also added a positive outlook that additional U.S. support funds for Ukraine, which had not passed the congressional threshold due to political divisions, would soon be approved.

The day before, the U.S. Senate passed the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in the plenary session with 87 votes in favor to 13 votes against.

The bill covers a total defense budget of $886 billion (approximately KRW 1,145.598 trillion), with $300 million (approximately KRW 387.9 billion) allocated to the Ukraine Security Support Initiative.

The U.S. Joe Biden administration sent a security support budget bill to Congress last October, including $61.4 billion (approximately 79.39 trillion won) in aid to Ukraine, but it has not yet passed the threshold.
