Four adults and a child died this Saturday when the small plane they were traveling on crashed in a residential neighborhood in the municipality of Jaboticabal, in the interior of the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.
The crash of the “single-engine” plane occurred in an avenue in Jaboticabal around 9 am (local time), according to what the firefighters reported on social networks.
The bomb, manufactured in 2012 and fully qualified to fly, fell from the sky and, after hitting the ground, caught fire, according to the firefighters.
Brazilian authorities found the five “charred” victims.
The police intervened on site to clarify the causes of the accident. Preliminary investigations show that the plane exceeded the maximum passenger capacity allowed for that model.
Jaboticabal is located about 350 kilometers from Sao Paulo, the most populous city in Brazil and capital of the state of the same name, the richest and most industrialized in the country.
