A boat on which a nightclub operated sank during this first morning in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. At the time of the accident There were more than 100 people on board. In a dialogue with a Serbian channel, the witness said that some security men “abruptly climbed onto the boat” and began to throw the participants out.

“People panicked and started getting off the boat, but in a disorderly way. Everyone was pushing and shouting. It was chaos,” he admitted.

In the note the young man provided the details of what happened. “To get to the ship there was a wooden bridge that collapsed. I was on the side and I heard her start creaking. Security went up there. Then it didn’t take long for the ship to sink,” she said.

Destruction due to combat, possible cause of shipwreck in Serbia

Some partygoers recorded the unusual escape. They showed how people emerged in single file, climbing onto the destroyed bridge that connected the ship to the coast. They even focused on the soaked trousers with traces of ice.

After the incident went viral, authorities are now trying to determine the cause of the accident.

The first testimonies indicated a strong fight between a group of people on the roof of the boat and this would have caused damage which would have led, according to the RTS channel, to its sinking. However, this version has not been made official.

The confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers is usually a recurring area for parties on boats moored in the port areas. And almost a year ago, at the end of 2022, another ship also sank and there were no victims.
