Christian Oliver, actor of “Indiana Jones” and “Meteor”, died in a plane crash in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

The actor Christian Oliverwhose real name was Christian Klepster, died on Thursday in small plane crash on the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Oliver, born in Germany but with American citizenship, has had a brilliant career for 15 years, in which he starred in films such as “Speed ​​​​Racer” (better known as “Meteor”, 2008), “The Good German”, ” Valkyrie” and “Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny” (2023). He also appeared in the Netflix series Sense8.

Oliver, 51, was traveling with his daughters, Madita Klepser and Annik Klepser, 10 and 12 years old, and the pilot Robert Sachs, headed to the island of Santa Lucia. They all died in the accident.

The plane took off around 12:00 local time from James Mitchell airport in Bequia – territory of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – but a few minutes later crashed exactly one nautical mile west of Petit Nevis.

A video from a citizen posted on social media shows the exact moment the device falls into the water.

“The plane has crashed! Call the coast guard”, exclaims the person who recorded the video.

For its part, the newspaper lighthousein San Vicente, said Sachs alerted the control tower at the local airport that he was having trouble with the plane, so he wanted to return to the tarmac.

That was the last communication the control tower had with Amelia.

The bodies were rescued by the St. Vincent Coast Guard.

The causes of the accident are still unknown, although the police are investigating the details of the accident.
