It is also expected that it will be pointed out that “through Steadfast Defender training, our military will cooperate with the military of 30 NATO member countries and Sweden to provide important relief against the threat of Russian President Vladimir Putin.”

At the same time, “the battle lines are being redrawn. The tank is literally on the lawn in Ukraine. The foundation of the world order is shaking. “We are at a crossroads,” he said, expected to highlight the importance of military training of an anti-Russian nature.

Through this exercise, the British military will carry out joint operations with thousands of troops from 31 NATO member countries and Sweden to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the NATO alliance. This implements the agreement reached at the NATO summit held in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, in July last year.

The British military operates the latest fighter planes, surveillance aircraft, warships, submarines, and armored vehicles in joint operations. Eight ships, including an aircraft carrier and a submarine, a ship-mounted F-35B Lightning fighter jet, and an anti-submarine patrol helicopter P-8 Poseidon will participate in the training.

The plan is to demonstrate the highest level of mission performance capabilities by mobilizing special forces. In particular, the British government announced that the 7th Light Mechanized Combat Brigade, which served as NATO troops in Kosovo last year, will be mobilized for the training.

Approximately 16,000 military troops equipped with tanks, artillery, and helicopters will be deployed to Eastern Europe and elsewhere from next month to June with the task of deterring Russia’s westward advance.

The UK has recently been mobilizing resources to establish a global security order.

Last week, the British military carried out targeted airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited Ukraine and announced a support package worth 2.5 billion pounds (about 4.2111 trillion won) for Ukraine.
