For the travel insurance company Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection there are 15 countries which are safer than others for tourists. Those who have earned a spot on your list are the perfect combination of confidence and attractiveness.
In its new annual report, Berkshire Hathaway has shared an updated top 15 of destinations ideal for those looking for a relaxing vacation. Of course: no one guarantees supreme peace. Crime can occur anywhere and some areas may be safer than others.
“The definition of a safe destination has evolved. In our most recent survey, travelers prefer countries they consider safe destinations where they can move freely. Without discrimination or harassment,” she told USA Today Carol Muellerthe vice president of the company.
The list was determined through a survey of 1,702 people about their travel experiences in different countries. Data from third-party resources that assess security issues, such as the Global Peace Index and State Department travel assessments, were also used.
