Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential candidate, responded to rival candidate former President Donald Trump’s racist attacks by calling them “evidence of insecurity.”

Former Governor Haley appeared on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ on the 28th (local time) and said, “I know Trump well.” Former Governor Haley served as ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration.

Former Governor Haley sarcastically said, “Every time I see Trump angry, I just laugh,” and “When he feels anxious, he starts yelling and waving his arms and getting angry.”

“When he feels threatened, he starts throwing all kinds of things out,” he said. “I used to tell him, ‘Your worst enemy is yourself,’ and now he’s proving it.”

Former President Trump recently repeatedly mentioned on his social media that candidate Haley is the daughter of Indian immigrants and called her “Nimbra.”

Former Governor Haley was born in South Carolina, and her childhood name was Nimarata Nikki Randhawa. Her last name, Hayley, was taken upon her when she married in 1996.

Ahead of the South Carolina primary on the 24th of next month, he expected that he would not have to completely win in his hometown, but that he would have to surpass the 43% score in the previous primary.

Former Governor Haley said, “We have to show that we are building momentum,” and “We don’t necessarily have to win, but we have to do better than New Hampshire and definitely get close.”

On the 26th, former President Trump received a verdict of $83 million in a lawsuit for defamation damages filed by columnist E. Gene Carroll, saying, “I have absolute confidence in the jury, and I believe they reached a verdict based on the evidence.” He said.

However, he avoided answering the question of whether he thought the verdict was a disqualification, and replied that former President Trump should be judged by the voters, not the law. This can be interpreted as an attempt to avoid losing the votes of conservative voters.

In response to former President Trump’s denial of the verdict, calling it “a fake, rigged trial,” former Governor Haley harshly criticized former President Trump, saying, “Former President Trump is completely distraught,” and “This is not the president we want.”
