I saw that he had jumped from the building,” said a security guard at the building, noting that it was not the first time Odinson attempted such a jump.

A sad precedent

Unfortunately, tragedies of this style are more common than you might think. In 2019, a 29-year-old Spanish YouTuber called Ruben Carbonel He died after suffering a similar accident.

Carbonel had a YouTube channel dedicated to extreme sports and apparently wanted to film a night jump in Spain. The newspaper El País reports it.

The deceased and a friend climbed the tower of a private cement factory, about 50 meters above the ground. There the YouTuber jumped into the void, but the parachute did not open and he died instantly.

According to initial investigations, the parachute would have been positioned incorrectly and for this reason it would have opened only partially.
