According to the Syrian state-run SANA news agency, a Syrian military official announced the airstrike this morning and said, “Both private land and public property were damaged.” No specific details were mentioned.

The Israeli Air Force is said to have struck central Syria from the Mediterranean Sea near the Lebanese coastal city of Tripoli.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a Syrian human rights group, reported that the civilians killed in this airstrike were one woman, one man, and one child. Additionally, 7 people were injured, and 2 people whose status was unknown whether dead or injured were also reportedly transported by ambulance.

In addition, it was revealed that at least nine explosions were heard in Homs and its outskirts, where Hezbollah, a pro-Iranian Lebanese armed group that supports the Syrian government, is located.

The pro-government Sham FM radio station reported that the areas attacked by Israel included the wealthy al-Malab area and Hamra Street.

Israel only stated that a fire broke out in an attack on farmland in Al-War, Syria, but that there were no casualties.

Israel has attacked targets in Syria hundreds of times in recent years.

Israel does not acknowledge most of its attacks on Syria, but has said it targets bases of pro-Iranian militant groups such as Hezbollah, which has sent thousands of soldiers to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

On the 4th, the Israeli military announced that it “attacked about 3,400 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and killed about 200 Hezbollah commanders and terrorists.”

Hezbollah has been involved in the war, firing missiles and rockets targeting northern Israel since October 8 last year, shortly after the Israel-Palestine war began. Because of this, 80,000 residents of northern Israel near the Lebanese border are sheltering in place.

As Hezbollah’s intervention in the war intensifies, Israel is increasing its level of response, including targeting Hezbollah’s senior commanders with airstrikes.
