As U.S. President Joe Biden has recently made a series of verbal mistakes, the ‘old age risk’ is growing ahead of his re-election challenge.

President Biden has been embroiled in controversy over his slip of the tongue for three consecutive days this week. On the 5th (local time), at a campaign rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, he confused French President Emmanuel Macron with the late former President François Mitterrand.

Referring to the G7 meeting held in the UK in 2021, he said, “When I said, ‘America is back,’ Mitterrand from Germany, or rather from France, looked at me and asked, ‘How long are you talking about?’”

The French president at the time was Macron, and former President Mitterrand passed away in 1996, 28 years ago. President Biden served as a U.S. senator during former President Mitterrand’s term.

President Biden confused the German Chancellor by mentioning the same meeting at a New York fund-raising event two days later on the 7th.

President Biden said, “When I was first elected president, I attended a meeting with European and British leaders,” and “Germany’s Helmut Kohl looked at me and said, ‘Tomorrow morning, in the London Times, 1,000 people refusing to take office as prime minister will break down the doors of the British Parliament. “What would you say if you saw the report that he killed ?” he said.

This is a reference to the incident in which supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, and the German Chancellor who attended the meeting at the time was Angela Merkel, not Helmut Kohl. Former Prime Minister Kohl passed away in 2017.

There was controversy as he failed to think of Hamas while mentioning the war in Gaza.

After giving a speech at the White House on the 6th urging Congress to strengthen border policy and pass the emergency security package budget, President Biden responded to a question about the hostage negotiations between Israel and Hamas by saying, “There is some progress,” and “There was a response.” He said.

Then, “He…” “He was speechless and said, “There was a reaction from the opposition.” It appears that he hesitated because he could not remember the name Hamas.

As he was trying to continue his remarks, someone among the reporters said “Hamas,” and only then did he say, “That’s right, I’m sorry.” “It’s from Hamas,” he corrected.

On her 81st birthday last November, she confused ‘Taylor Swift’ with ‘Britney Spears’.

Due to a series of verbal mistakes, many American voters are concerned about President Biden’s health. According to an NBC poll conducted last month, 76% of voters, including half of Democratic Party supporters, responded that they were concerned about President Biden’s mental and physical health.

However, in the same survey, 48% of respondents said they were concerned about former President Donald Trump’s mental and physical health.

Former President Trump also confused former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with his opponent in the Republican primary, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, during a campaign rally last month.

Former Governor Haley is attacking the two current and former presidents by citing their advanced age. In a recent election advertisement, former President Trump and President Biden were referred to as “grumpy old men.”

Former President Trump is 77 years old, and President Biden is 81 years old.
