WASHINGTON-The CIA is urging Russians to share information by contacting the spy agency in darkweb.

Used by the CIA Youtube and various social media platforms on Monday to post instructions about how Russians can use the secure virtual private network, or VPN, to download a secure browser and communicate with the agency through the anonymity of the dark web.

Tor, the Deep Web browser.

Tor, the Deep Web browser.

The instructions, written in Russian, are meant to be fairly easy to follow.

The Russians were told to use a VPN to communicate with the CIA.

They can also download in the browserallowing users to access the dark web and submit information anonymously, without the agency knowing where it came from and without the knowledge of Russian security services interacting with Americans.

“We provide instructions in Russian on how to safely contact the CIA, through our dark website or a trusted VPN, for those who are forced to contact us because of the Russian government’s unjust war , “Susan said. Miller, a CIA spokesman.

While Russia blocks Western social networks, YouTube remains accessible.

Also used by the agency not disclosed by other media to push your instructions.

The CIA first devised a way to anonymously contact the agency via the dark web in 2019, when it published a version of its website that could be accessed using the Tor browser.

But the messages posted on Monday are the first time the agency has published instructions in russian.

Using the Tor browser protects the anonymity of users by encrypting traffic and bouncing it to so many passpoints that it becomes very difficult to track.

An agency official said the CIA wanted to give Russians worried about the war in Ukraine a way to contact the agency without being intercepted by Moscow’s security services.

In the past, the agency has had problems with secret communications, where Iranians and Chinese have entered into a secret system set up by the agency.

Although in theory it is possible for an intelligence service to track someone on the dark web, it will require a large amount of resources.

The CIA asks Russians who interact here on the dark web to provide their name, title, access to the information they have, as well as a means of secure surveillance.

Although any Russian can contact the agency, U.S. intelligence officials are likely to be more interested in Russian government officials with access to confidential information.
