A group of fans of Kansas City Chiefsthe new champion of the National Football League (NFL) has captured one of the alleged shooters who killed one person and injured 10 others during the massive celebrations for the sporting feat.
The images of the event that took place this Monday near Union Station, in a parade of champions for which a million people were expected, went viral on social networks. In any case, the authorities have not confirmed that the tackled man was one of the attackers.
The video was taken from an elevated place and can be seen through a sort of corridor bordered by concrete blocks. a small group of Chiefs fans cuts a man down.
The suspect, dressed in light brown trousers, a jacket of the same color but darker in tone and with a hood, tried to leave the place by running among the people, who were also moving away in fear.
Suddenly, another man, dressed in a white T-shirt, intercepted him by hitting the hooded man’s stomach with his left arm, grabbed him from behind and managed to throw him to the ground.
The alleged attacker attempted to get up to continue fleeingbut a second man, wearing a red cap, the color of the Kansas team, lunged at him and sent him back to the grass.
The first person who knocked him down got up and also threw himself at the alleged attacker, who they managed to reduce before the eyes of the other fans who, in the midst of a climate of tension, tried to understand what had happened, whether they took their time and even filmed and took photos of a day that should have been a sporting celebration for the city.
A woman, wearing an orange and red sweatshirt, approached the floor where the two men were holding the alleged killer, picked up objects from the ground that could not be seen and handed them to another.
The first raised her hand, as if to ask for the presence of the police, who had not appeared in the video until then.
The second seemed to incite people to move away and those who were there quickened their pace, even crouching down so as not to be the target of any other danger.
A few meters to the right of the video the first police officers appearedwho appeared to be questioning a man sitting on the ground and not realizing what was happening near them.
However, the camera recorded how two more uniformed officers ran to arrest the suspect. There were 43 seconds in which the authorities investigated as part of a violent accident that caused at least 10 injuries and one death. The number of shooters was also not confirmed.
