A video has been released showing a Peruvian police officer wearing a teddy bear mask, luring a drug dealer by pretending to propose, and then arresting him.

In the released video, the police officer, wearing a teddy bear mask, held a heart-shaped balloon and a box of chocolates and knelt down as if he was about to propose.

At this time, a woman came down the stairs and approached the bear, and the police officer dressed as a teddy bear took off his doll mask. He then quickly knocked the woman down and handcuffed her. It was discovered that the woman was a suspect suspected of selling drugs.

Other police officers who were watching the situation nearby searched the woman’s home and found a pile of drugs. Officers found and seized piles of drugs hidden under bed mattresses inside the home and near a drain outside the home.

The video also showed a police officer wearing a teddy bear mask taking away an arrested suspect, as well as taking off the mask and taking another female suspect away.

The suspects arrested at the scene were taken in for questioning. During this process, a scene of taking pictures with police officers was also captured. A police officer wearing a teddy bear mask comforted the crying suspect. Next to the box of chocolates, there was also a picket that read, ‘You are the reason I can smile.’

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Peru is one of the world’s largest producers of cocaine.

The Peruvian National Police (PNP) made headlines by using novel methods to crack down on drug crimes. On December 23 last year (local time), a video was released showing police officers dressed as Christmas Santas arresting a drug gang.
