Call for “Let us unite so that Navalny’s sacrifice will not be in vain”
“The most important thing is unity… we should be ashamed of doing nothing.”
Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, vowed on Thursday to continue the fight against the Kremlin.
A tearful Navalnaya accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of killing her husband in a remote prison and vowed to punish him and other alleged perpetrators.
Russian authorities say the cause of Navalny’s sudden death on the 16th at the age of 47 is not yet known.
“They are cowardly and cowardly hiding Navalny’s body, waiting for the traces of another Putin novichok to disappear,” Navalnaya said.
She urged Russians to rally behind her “to share my anger as well as the sorrow and endless pain that has enveloped and gripped us.” “I speak to you in Alexei’s words,” she said. “Anger and hatred towards those who dared kill our future. I really believe. “It’s not a shame to do small things, it’s a shame to do nothing, it’s a shame to scare yourself,” she added.
Navalnaya urged all those mourning Navalny “to ensure that my husband’s unimaginable sacrifice was not in vain and to unite to achieve his dream of a beautiful future Russia.”
“The most important thing we can do for Alexei and for ourselves is to keep fighting,” she said. “Stronger, more fiercely and braver than we have ever done before, to come together as one, to fight against this crazy regime, Putin and his cronies. “We must attack the thieves and murderers who have undermined Russia,” he said.
Below is Navalnaya’s full statement.
“Hello! This is Yulia Navalnaya. There should be someone else sitting where I am right now, but that person was murdered by Vladimir Putin.
In a section of a prison beyond the Arctic Circle, Putin not only tried to kill Alexei Navalny as a human being, but he also tried to kill our hope, our freedom, and our future.
We know exactly why Putin murdered Alesei three days ago. We will tell you soon. But the most important thing we can do for Alesei and for ourselves is to keep fighting.
I want you to be by my side. I don’t think we should stop at sharing the sadness and endless pain that surrounds us and never leaves us. I ask you to share with me my anger and hatred towards those who simply killed our future.
I speak to you after the words of Alessei, whom I have truly believed. Don’t be ashamed that you can only do a little.
You should be ashamed of yourself for not doing anything. This is telling them it’s okay to scare you.
What we need is a free, peaceful and happy Russia. This is the wonderful Wonderfall Russia of the future that my husband has dreamed of for so long. That’s what we need.
That’s the kind of country I want to live in and the kind of country I want my children to grow up in. That is the kind of country I want to build with you. This is the kind of country that Alexei Navalny imagined.
It is the only way to ensure that his unimaginable sacrifice will not be in vain.
I am not afraid. “Don’t be afraid.”
