Fossils of mollusks that lived at the same time as the dinosaurs have been discovered embedded in the blocks of Bangkok’s sidewalks.

Preecha Saithong of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment told AFP on Tuesday that “77 ammonoid fossils” have been found, which are marine creatures that probably lived in Africa 66 million years ago.

The snail-shaped fossils, which range in length from 2 to 12 centimeters, were photographed by a visitor who shared the photos on social media and aroused the curiosity of the authorities.
