Netanyahu responds fully to Biden’s remarks through interview and statement
Biden: “If far-right regime continues, trust in Israel will be lost”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly refuted U.S. President Joe Biden’s warning that Israel could lose support around the world, local media outlet Time of Israel reported on the 27th (local time).

“From the beginning of the war, I have led a diplomatic campaign aimed at garnering support for Israel while deflecting pressure to end the war early,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a video message that day.

At the same time, Prime Minister Netanyahu cited the results of a Harvard University Harris poll released on the 26th and said, “82% of the American people support Israel in the war against Hamas. “We have significant support in the region (the United States),” he said.

He emphasized, “This kind of public opinion becomes another source of strength for us to lead the war against Hamas to complete victory.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu has recently refuted President Biden’s claims of an ‘extreme right-wing regime’ through interviews and statements. As the war in Gaza continues, the war of nerves between the two leaders appears to be intensifying.

The Associated Press recently conducted a public opinion poll jointly with the University of Chicago Public Opinion Research Center (NORC) and found that about half of American adults responded that Israel’s military response was excessive. In a survey last November, 40% gave the same answer.

Earlier, in an interview the previous day, President Biden said, “If the incredibly conservative government and (far-right) National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gbir continue, they will lose support from around the world. “This does not serve Israel’s interests,” he said.

President Biden earlier this month criticized Israel’s military operations in the Gaza Strip as excessive and said he told Prime Minister Netanyahu in January that he did not want the war to prolong.
