“Relations between the two countries are at the best time in history,” said Vice Minister Sun. “The two sides will use the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations as a new starting point to intensify high-level exchanges, continue to strengthen political and strategic mutual trust, strengthen strategic cooperation in all areas, and make progress in all areas.” “We need to deepen cooperation,” he emphasized.

He added, “We must strengthen communication and cooperation surrounding pending issues in the Asia-Pacific region and jointly protect the safety, stability, and development of the region.”

According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian side also agreed to strengthen cooperation on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the ‘China-Russia Cultural Year’.

The Russian side also responded, “We are willing to work with China to deepen bilateral and multilateral strategic cooperation, promote the sound and stable development of multilateral organizations such as the SCO and BRICS, and jointly safeguard the security and development of the Asia-Pacific region.” .

Previously, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs dispatched Vice Minister Ma Zhaoxu to Russia on the 29th and 30th of last month, and the two sides discussed issues on the Korean Peninsula and the situation in Ukraine.

Some analysts are also suggesting that China’s successive high-level dispatches are intended to check the close relationship between North Korea and Russia.
