Brazil: Killed her boss, hid his body and pretended to be her for 7 months

Rio de Janeiro civil police found the body of a 53-year-old doctor buried on the patio of a house in Rio das Ostas, Brazil, on Monday.

The alleged killer was captured and identified as Emanuele Pereira. Costa had been missing since July, the month in which she was killed, but the investigation was opened only after a friend of hers from San Pablo suspected something was wrong and she reported her missing.

Already in the hands of the police, the main suspect confessed to having killed Costa after an argument. It is presumed that he was stabbed, as the woman’s body had stab wounds.

Investigators said Glaubenia and Pereira argued over the reason accused him of robbery. The man allegedly killed her after the woman threatened to report him to the police.

Since Costa had no relatives or friends in Río das Ostras, it was easy for Pereira to deceive his loved ones for so long.

Since the woman’s disappearance, the man has taken the place of the endocrinologist online, where he reported suffering from mental health issues.

At the same time, according to CNN Brazil, the killer also introduced himself as the woman’s brother. He told his followers that the woman was in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, and posted motivational videos on Instagram.

The case is currently being investigated as feminicide and concealment of a corpse. Testimonies from other suspects will be collected in the coming days, including Pereira’s wife.
