For this third season, the souls returns to adapt the story of the volumes 10 to 15 of the manga From Kazue Kato. On this occasion, new characters will be introduced in the plot of Rin, the young man who discovers that he is the son of the Devil and decides to enter a school of exorcists to face him.

The creators of the series have already confirmed the release date of chapter ten of the third season of Blue Exorcist (Shimane Illuminati Saga): it will be this Saturday, March 9th. Furthermore, this new installment will consist of 12 episodes.

On the other hand, for this season Tomokazu Seki as Lewin Light, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Michael Gedōin and Kouki Uchiyama as Lucifer have joined the voice cast.
