The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saabreported this Wednesday that two men who are members of the opposition political organization The Cause R They were arrested in the city of Maturín for planning the assassination of President Nicolás Maduro.
According to the magistrate, the crimes charged to the prisoners are those of “Conspiracy and Threats to Murder” against the Venezuelan president.
These people have been identified as Whillfer José Piña Azuaje and Renzo Estibenz Floresstarted with these events in May 2023 and continued until today.
Among the evidence found by the authorities is the publication of a threat in a state of Whatsapp from Piña, who says that “in Maturín (where the Venezuelan president went on Monday) it will be the death of Maduro”.
