The United States warned Russia two weeks ago that it could suffer a terrorist attack, a warning that Vladimir Putin did not heed and which finally came to fruition this Friday with the shooting at a Moscow concert hall.
The warning was also issued by the United Kingdom. It happened on March 8th. The diplomatic leaders of the United States and the United Kingdom on that occasion asked their fellow citizens to avoid concerts and gatherings.
“The embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to attack large gatherings in Moscow, including concerts,” they said from Washington.
The day before these warnings, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had foiled an attack on a synagogue in Moscow and attributed the plot to the Islamic State.
Two weeks after the alarm, this Friday a group of people entered the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow, where they started shooting at a concert audience and threw firebombs, causing dozens of deaths and injuries.
