The stepfather of two minors abused younger sisters who are now 11 and 13 years old in Pachacutec, Ventanilla, Peru. According to witnesses, the 49-year-old man would have started sexually assaulting minors since the pandemic began, i.e., two years ago. The sexual assaults occurred when the girls ’mother left for work.
The abuser was identified as Juan Carlos Saavedra Jaimes and in 2018 he was reported to the district police station for both events. At that time, however, the police downplayed the accusation and released him.
“In 2018, one of the minors complained. There they complained, but at the police station they told him it was a lie, ”the victims’ aunt told a local program.
The abuses occurred when the mother went to work.
According to details from the local press, the sexual aggressor infected the abused minors with HIV AIDS. “He didn’t think about my children. I don’t know, I only found out on Saturday ”, said the mother of the little ones. with mental disabilities and language problems.
After the new complaint, the abuser was arrested and in preventive detention, awaiting oral debate. There it was found that he had a criminal record for crimes against sexual integrity.
According to provincial prosecutor Abilio Escobar Quispe, if the abuser is found guilty, he will receive a life sentence.
The abuser is in custody. He could be sentenced to life imprisonment.
Minors are in the care of a maternal aunt.

The Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) became aware of this case and indicated that they had already provided psychological, social and legal support to girls and mothers of minors.
“From Sunday, the MIMP National Aurora Program team provides psychological and social support to two sisters who have been victims of rape. The lawyer participated in the proceedings and requested the preventive detention of the aggressor who was detained in front of the Nation’s Prosecutor’s Office, ”they indicated via their Twitter account.
The 49-year-old abuser is the father of the abused women.
Meanwhile, the police portion of the complaint indicates that the alleged aggressor was arrested “based on the result of a legal medical examination certificate.” The subject remained in the Criminal Investigation Department (Depincri) of Ventanilla and will be transferred to the Judicial Power jail.
