Two Hollywood stars are involved in an unexpected crossover based on the upcoming publication of a memoir. The author is the Australian actress the rebel Wilson (44); he, “the idiot” in question, Sacha Baron Cohen (52).
It all started on March 15, when Wilson, in an effort to promote his book “Rebel Rising,” wrote on Instagram: “You want to know why I now have a ‘no assholes’ policy with the people I work with? Well, it’s all in the book (…) Oh, and YES, I name the idiot!”
After Wilson posted that message, the actor instructed his lawyers to make sure his name did not appear in the book. For this reason, the actress anticipated any other maneuver and revealed this Monday the name of the “imbecile” she had spoken of in the previous post.
“I will not be silenced by expensive lawyers or public relations crisis managers. The idiot I talk about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen”Wilson pitched.
Wilson and Cohen worked together on spying by mistake (The Brothers Grimsby), 2016 comedy in which the protagonists of this feud also play a sex scene.
Baron Cohen’s lawyer, a representative for the actor, told TMZ: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these patently false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, video footage and eyewitness accounts of the victims present before, during and after the production of Spy by Mistake.
The most uncomfortable scene
Now that the conflict between the two has come to light, Wilson’s statements during a promotional interview for Spy by Mistake have been given new meaning.
In 2015, while discussing the film, Wilson told news.com.au that the sex scene with Baron Cohen was “the most disgusting thing ever”.
The memoir in which the actress recounts her experience working with Cohen will go on sale April 2 in the United States.
Who is Sacha Baron Cohen?
Thanks to his dark humor and irreverent attitude at various film industry events, the Englishman has become one of the most unpredictable personalities in Hollywood. You either love it or hate it.

Essentially a comedian, Cohen is known for playing characters that raise the bar for the politically incorrect, such as Ali G, Borat or the dictator Aladeen.
Off screen he is known for his practical jokes. At the 2009 MTV Awards, for example, he jumped from the roof in a harness and landed on Eminem, who left the ceremony “angry” for this reason. The quotes are because it would later be known that everything had been proven with the rapper’s complicity.
In 2013, his name also made headlines for allegedly throwing an elderly woman in a wheelchair off the stage.

The comedian was, without a doubt, the center of attention during the awards ceremony presented by the British Academy of Film and Television. A-list stars like Salma Hayek, Julia Roberts and George Clooney were left speechless when they witnessed one of the actor’s best (or worst) pranks when he took to the stage to receive the Charlie Chaplin Award for Excellence of comedy. We don’t know if it will be excellent, but it will be very controversial. Watch the video and find out what happened!

Although most of his characters are comedic, Baron Cohen has also made dramatic films. He starred in the series The Spy and appeared in the films Les Misérables and The Trial of the Chicago 7.
