The fire alarm went off this morning in the high school. When all the students were gathered together, they went back to the classroom to look for their things. The police are checking the establishment.

bomb alert

Messages received from schools via the ETN system refer to “bomb threats”, accompanied by the video of a beheading, sent to several schools llast week.

“The accounts that have received this message are systematically closed,” the Federation of Parents of Public School Students in Paris reported in a message addressed to parents.

He called on families “to review the contents so that children cannot come into contact with them.”

At the same time in the south of France dozens of high schools received threats between Monday and Tuesdayvia ENT, where they addressed teachers, students and parents, joining those who had already been sent in the previous days to the Ile de France, the Hauts de France and the Grand Est.

Threats and fear

The educational community is threatened and afraid to report it. The law on secularism creates difficulties for them with the Muslim population of high schools and, above all, with the use of the veil by girls, which is prohibited by law.

The director of the Maurice-Ravel high school, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, was threatened after asking three students to remove their headscarves last February. This caused “an altercation”. The rector modestly speaks of an “early retirement”. Following the complaint, two people were arrested, with no connection to the establishment.

A new silence in national education? The director of the Maurice-Ravel school complex, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, left his post on Friday 22 March, after receiving numerous death threats on the Internet for asking a student to remove her veil.

If the rector modestly mentions an “early departure” for retirement, the former director justified his retirement by evoking, in an email sent to the internal messaging system, his “security” and that of the “establishment” .

“I have finally decided to leave my duties as director for reasons of my own safety and that of the establishment”, we read in this message revealed by the communist newspaper. Humanity. “I leave after seven rich and intense years at your side, but also after 45 years in National Education”.

When the case became known on Wednesday, Prime Minister Gabiel Attal announced that he intended to receive the threatened director.

Scared teachers

Three years after the beheading of Professor Samuel Paty by an Islamic terrorist, after having shown caricatures of the prophet Muhammad in a classroom on the outskirts of Paris, or five months after the murder of Dominique Bernard, a French teacher in Arras, in the north of France, again with a knife, by a radicalized former student of Chechen origin, this exit caused another electroshock and fear in French national education.

Marine Le Pen, president of the National Reunification (RN) group at the Bourbon Palace, went further in believing that “the government has been incapable of protecting our schools”.

“After the assassination of S. Paty and D. Bernard by Islamists, a director resigned under threat of death for defending secularism,” he complained.

In one week at least 130 schools were threatened in France.
