Trump, who for a few weeks has been the virtual Republican presidential candidate, released a video on his social network Truth Social in which he invites his followers to purchase the “God Bless the USA Bible”, inspired by the patriotic ballad of country singer Lee Greenwood .

The song is played as Trump takes the stage at all of his events, and Trump has appeared alongside Greenwood at some ceremonies.

“Happy Easter! Let’s make America pray again. As Good Friday and Easter approach, I urge you to purchase a copy of God Bless the USA Bible,” Trump wrote, adding a link to a website that sells the book for $59.99.

Trump faces a serious lack of funds as his legal bills mount amid four criminal cases and a slew of civil charges. He got a reprieve on Monday when a New York appeals court agreed to stay collection of $454 million owed in a civil fraud judgment if he deposited $175 million in the next 10 days.

Trump has already posted $92 million bail in connection with defamation charges against writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused him of sexual abuse.

“America pray again”

“Every American needs a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book,” Trump says in the video published on Truth Social. “I am proud to support and encourage you to get this Bible. “We need to make America pray again.”

The website calls it “The only Bible approved by President Trump!” He says he is “easy to read”, with “large fonts” and a “slim design” which “invites you to explore the Word of God anywhere, anytime.”

In addition to the King James Version, it contains copies of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and Pledge of Allegiance, as well as a handwritten verse of Greenwood’s song.

The Bible is just Trump’s latest business venture during his campaign. The company called 45Footwear sells other types of footwear, cologne and perfume under the Trump brand.

Despite his legal troubles, which have already brought him to court several times in New York, Trump is pushing ahead with his election campaign and has easily defeated his rivals in his party’s primaries.

The tycoon therefore has a clear path to run for president in the November elections, in which once again his rival will be the Democrat Joe Biden, the current president who defeated him in 2020, in an election that has become a real battle after the accusations – rejected by justice – of alleged fraud.

With a slight advantage for Trump according to some polls, and a virtual tie according to others, the race for the White House promises to once again be tense and aggressive.
